How do I know if I am in Menopause?

Feel like you are in menopause but aren’t sure.

In my experience if you thinking it is menopause and you are the one experiencing it then you are likely right.

But want to know how you can get ‘diagnosed’ as menopausal or in menoapause lets chat about this below. Ever wonder how we get diagnosed as menopausal? Do I need a diagnosis and if so how do I go about it?

Do I go and get a test, do I need a scan what do I need to do to know if I am in menopause?

Fabulous question the answer really is you don’t really need anything.

For women in the age bracket of 45 to 55 there are two ways to know:

1.        Periods – are the regular, irregular or absent

2.        Symptoms – are you having any symptoms of menopause and if so, how often are you experiencing them and how many are you experiencing them.

Tracking your cycle and symptoms is the best way for you and any healthcare provider to know if you are ‘in menopause’.

Women experiencing early or premature menopause may have some testing needed and that is usually to confirm or rule out other reasons for experiencing symptoms.

Now lets talk about how you can track your symptoms.

There are menopause symptom questionnaires that help guide you and there are apps that can help log your cycle and your symptoms.

Google ‘menopause symptom questionnaire’ if you want to check this out.
